OUR STORY

The Souders Cookery Recipe Blog is a joint venture between two companies and two great friends that go all the way back to 1995.  Rick Souders of Souders Studios and Shelly Ruybalid of Compact Cooking both love cooking food, eating food and creating new recipes.  So it was only natural that we would team up, create a blog that has really good food, good recipes and good photography.  On this site you will get weekly new recipes and a beautiful color image to go with it.  You can go through all the categories to find the food of your choosing.  Enjoy your weekly updates.  Feel free to tweet these to your friends.  (all photographs on this site are property of Souders Studios, Inc. and are copyright protected.)

Juicy Peach Margaritas

Print
2 ounces Grand Marnier
1½ ounces Tequila
2 ounces lime juice
2½ ounces peach simple syrup (recipe below)
lime + chopped peaches for garnish
salt + sugar for the rim

Rim the ridge of your glass with a lime wedge and dip in a mix of margarita salt and sugar (we used about 3 tablespoons salt to 2 teaspoons sugar). Fill the glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, grand marnier, simple syrup and lime juice with ice, and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour over ice, squeeze in lime slices and add a few peach chunks.
Yields: 1 margarita

For peach simple syrup:
Combine equal parts sugar and water, bring to a boil and let sugar dissolve, then turn off heat and let cool completely. Combine 1 cup simple syrup and 3 peeled and chopped peaches in a blender and blend until combined. This makes enough simple syrup for 3-4 margaritas.
